MUSIC FOR MOVING
Increasing activity is of vital importance in reducing your risk not only of disease but also to reduce the risk of dementia and frailty and because of this we have a separate programme focused on getting fitter. However we are also developing a music service because music makes moving much easier, and more fun.
Of central importance is brisk walking and although the sounds of nature are wonderful music, brisk walking is helped by brisk music
The second part of the activity programme is the ten minute of exercise to increase strength, skill and suppleness and music will also increase the enjoyment of this period of exercise and of course dancing combines musical movement excellently as the Dance to Health charity demonstrates
